Teaching Philosophy: About Me

Diana Yusupov

A Dedicated Cello Teacher

I have been playing cello since I was eight years old and I am currently finishing my doctoral degree in music performance. I always knew that I wanted to pursue a career in music and now I can say that I am following my dreams. As a performer I am strongly inspired by the idea that music is one of the best mediums of communication. Much can be said through music; yet it is an art form that does not require words or languages. Music is limitless; it can reach across borderlines to bring people together. This also inspires my teaching. I love the idea of passing my love for music to others, whether young or young at heart. Having been a private cello instructor for the last 10 years, I have experience preparing young students for school and college auditions, orchestra auditions, competitions and concerts. I also have experience working with adults and helping them realize their passion for music. I tailor lessons to suit the needs of my student and will be happy to work with you to identify what your musical goals are. In our lessons I will be committed to providing a solid foundation of both technique and musicianship. I will do my best to help you develop your full potential and nurture your love for music.
